WEST LIBERTY, WV- President Dr. Borchers and his wife, Dr. Williams, opened their home to students who stayed on campus during Thanksgiving break by hosting a delicious dinner at the President’s house on Thursday, November 28, at 1:00 p.m. d
The duo promised a festive and heartfelt celebration for those who were unable to travel home for the holiday and welcomed students at West Liberty to a cozy place to enjoy dinner.
Dr. Borchers and Dr. Williams eagerly prepared for the dinner, which they said featured many of their favorite homemade dishes. The event was a part of an ongoing effort by West Liberty University to allow for a stronger sense of community and belonging among students, particularly those who may feel isolated during the holiday season or students that are too far away from home to go back for the holidays.
Students at West Liberty are hoping for more events like this in the future not only to bring everyone together, but also to have more activities for students that involve big holidays, like the President’s Thanksgiving dinner.
