WEST LIBERTY, WV – West Liberty University’s SPICES Club had their 15th annual International Food Festival on April 7th , 2025. The event took place in the Student Union from 3 to 5 p.m.
The festival featured signature dishes from 12 countries, such as Japan, India, and Malawi. Each dish was made by students or faculty from that country, and posters provided additional background for the dish, such as culinary history or even ingredients used. Such foods included Dolma, Sarma, and Chicken Tagine.
Each station provided free samples for students to try. To get full servings of their favorite dishes, students could pay one dollar per ticket. After buying their tickets, participants could go to each station, hand in their ticket, and receive one plate filled with food.
Thank you to the SPICES and the Rollie Williams International Center for putting on this great event. To learn more about SPICES, email them at [email protected].
