WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. – In an ongoing attempt to help students in need, West Liberty University has upgraded their tutoring services to include TracCloud, a new application featured within HelloID.

TracCloud was first implemented into the HelloID program in September of this year, and is the campus’s new way of encouraging tutoring for students in need of assistance on school assignments.
Built off of Tutortrac, the previous tutoring application, this new program allows for ease of scheduling appointments for colleagues and mentors on campus. This application is also threaded through the Student Success Center’s programs, allowing both students and faculty to take advantage of all of their benefits on top of TracCloud’s.
Students can choose to schedule in-person or virtual appointments through TutorTrac. Some of the most popular subjects that students ask professors and other students for assistance with include math, science, history, and geography. They can also take advantage of TutorTrac’s Career Development based features.
“TracCloud is designed to make academic support more accessible and effective for our students. With just a few clicks, they can search for available tutors, schedule appointments at times that fit their busy schedules, and track their progress throughout the semester. The system also helps students stay organized by keeping a record of past visits, recommended resources, and upcoming sessions. By streamlining the tutoring process, TracCloud not only saves time but also empowers students to take charge of their learning and build confidence in their academic journey,” said Andrew Lewis, the Executive Director of Academic Engagement and Learning Services in an official statement for the Trumpet.
Despite being an online application, TracCloud’s interfaces are much easier for students to use with calendars showing when meetings are scheduled for and where they will take place at.
“In terms of putting the schedule in, and not having to adjust schedules… it would make things a lot easier to work around” said McKenzie Hayes, one of the Graduate Assistant Tutors from the Student Success Center who uses TracCloud as part of her work.
The Student Success Center is always looking for volunteers who are willing to tutor other students in a variety of fields. If you want more information regarding tutoring or the Student Success Center, you can reach out to Andrew at [email protected] or visit the Paul N. Elbin Library.
