Stephen King, perhaps the most recognized horror author of all time, continues to unravel the minds of his suspense-seeking readers. Since his first publication in 1973, with the widely renowned novel “Carrie,” King has paved a path into the mystery and science-fiction genre, publishing nearly 60 novels and selling 400 million copies.
His immense popularity the last near half-century have allowed his terrifying tales to come alive on the big screen, as Hollywood has visualized some of King’s best works. From the 1980 production of “The Shining,” to the world-wide hit of “The Shawshank Redemption” in 1994, which is considered to be one of the best movies of all time, King leads all living authors with the most film adaptations with 34; second place is 11, just saying.
But King continues to resurface in the Hollywood eye, what seems like every couple of years, and the future looks bright, or dark. Sit back and relax, as we mention some of the upcoming Stephen King movies and TV shows.
