The annual Fall Festival will take place on Sept. 30 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Hall, located on Van Meter Way. Fall Festival is an annual event in West Liberty for a day of fun for all ages.

 It has been sponsored by the town of West Liberty’s office for the past seven years. West Liberty University also partners with the town in sponsoring the event, which helps expand the Fall Festival to new heights.

“We hope to exponentially expand the Festival to new heights with our recent partnerships,” said the Fall Festival coordinator, Ashley Montemurro. “Also, we have handed out fliers to elementary schools. In order to attract more children this time, we are going to have more games like face painting, bounce houses and hayrides.”

“Thanks to our new sponsors Hilltop Acres, Republic Waste, Army National Guard, Main Street Bank, Dr. Stephen Greiner and Nancy Greiner,” said Mayor Mark Griffith, “They gave us lots of support to make this year’s Fall Festival bigger and better.”

“We currently have seven craft vendors and seven food vendors,” said Montemurro, “West Liberty Girl Scouts, which is one of our craft vendors, are going to donate money that they make to help build a playground for West Liberty Elementary school.”

“This time, we will have music all day by DJ Jarrell, the band The Ohio County All Stars, and the band New Age Adenas,” said Montemurro. “People are welcome to bring their own food and drinks.”

WLU’s International Club also got an invitation email from Chief Joseph Montemurro, West Liberty University’s Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety.

“It’s our first time to get involved with Fall Festival. The whole club is looking forward to having a good time,” said Heather Kalb, the Coordinator of International Student Activities and Recruiting.

If you are interested in being a vendor in the Fall Festival, you are still welcomed to reserve a table for $20.
