During the summer months, many festivals grace Wheeling, W. Va. While some have already passed, there are still many yet to come! Here are some of the upcoming festivals that have become summer staples in the area.
The St. Michael Parish Community Festival
The St. Michael Parish Community Festival will be held July 12, 13 and 14 at the St. Michael Parish. There will be food, basket raffles, kid’s games, inflatables and music.
Festival of India
The Festival of India will take place at the Wheeling Heritage Port on July 14 from noon until 8 p.m. at the Wheeling Heritage Port.
The Grecian Fest
On July 25-28, The Grecian Fest will be held on 2215 Chapline Street in Wheeling. Music, Agape Dancers, food and pastries, and shopping can all be found at the festival. There is free admission to the Grecian Fest. For more information, visit their website.
Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival
According to the festival’s website, “The Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival is the undisputed Granddaddy of outdoor festivals in this area of the country and one of the largest in West Virginia.” Festival goers can expect food, live entertainment, vendors and more. Plus, admission is free! This popular festival will be held July 27, 28, 29 near the Wheeling Heritage Port on Water Street.
The Heritage Music BluesFest
On August 10-12, the Heritage Music BluesFest will return for its 18th year. Tickets begin at $40 for a day pass, and can be purchased on the website. During this festival, audience members are able to enjoy blues music as well as food, art and goods.
