Gift-giving can be a fun way to treat your family and friends, but sometimes time can slip away from you and the holidays sneak up. Suddenly, you still need to buy a gift or gifts for someone you care about. If you are in this situation, here are some last minute gift ideas to consider.
1. Gift cards
You can never go wrong giving someone a gift card. Gift cards are great because you can get them from almost any place your friend or family member likes — restaurants, stores, spas, coffee shops, etc. Even if you don’t know where the person you are buying shops, there are options for them too. You can get them an Amazon gift card or a pre-paid credit card.
2. Subscriptions
Subscriptions are the gifts that keep on giving. This is a broad idea and you can personalize it to fit the person who will be receiving the gift. This can go in many different directions. You can buy someone a subscription for a news site they use, such as the New York Times or Washington Post. Other online subscriptions can include Amazon Prime, Netflix, Spotify, and many others. You can also gift them a subscription box that has to do with one of their interests.
3. Donations
Another idea for the people who want nothing, already have everything, or like to make a difference, is to make a donation to a cause or charity they care about. There are many different options. The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union), The Wounded Warrior Project, UNICEF, and The Conservation Fund are a few ideas, but there are many, many more causes and charities you can make donations for in another’s name. While this is not a physical gift, it still is meaningful.
These are just a few ideas that could make last minute shopping less stressful. Since all of these ideas can be personalized to the person you are buying for, they can be tailored to every person on your list.
Happy holidays and good luck shopping!
