Spring break is approaching quickly and after having school take up most of your time, it can be hard to decide what to do during this week of vacation. If you are struggling with coming up with ideas to take advantage of the break, here are five things that you could do.
1. Take a trip
One of the most popular things to do during spring break is to take a trip. Usually, students spend their week in warm places like Florida or South Carolina, but those are not the only options. In a week, you can travel to other countries and relax while learning about new cultures. Traveling to Europe can cost around $1,000 or even less if you find a good deal on the flights. So, if you have been saving up money, traveling is a good way to spend it.
2. Spend time with your family
If traveling is not your cup of tea, going back home and spending time with your family might be a good option. When you are in college, you might not get to see your family as much as you would like to. Spring break is the perfect time to go back home and enjoy some quality family time.
3. Catch up on sleep
Being in college can result in losing good sleeping habits. Staying up late and waking up in the morning for weeks on end can result in being extremely exhausted. Catching up on sleep is a good way of spending spring break. Getting back to better sleeping habits, and getting some real rest, can ultimately improve your performance when you go back to school.
4. Explore new places
If you don’t have enough money to travel somewhere far, there are many interesting places and hikes that you can go on in West Virginia. There are many options like visiting Blackwater Falls State Park or the Monongahela National Forest, to name just a few.
5. Earn some money
Something that may not sound so appealing but can end up being beneficial is working to earn some money. If there is nothing else to do during break, then getting in some more hours at work to earn extra money may be your best bet. Although it may not seem like the most fun way to spend your break, going back to school with some savings can make the end of the semester more pleasant.
