Annalise Murphy, Contributing Writer
Annalise Murphy, of New Cumberland, W. Va., is a junior at West Liberty University and double majors in journalism and criminal justice. Murphy has volunteered as an online editor and contributing writer for The Trumpet during the fall semester of 2019. Additionally, Murphy has experience as a contributing writer and anchor for the university’s news broadcast station, “Newsline 14” on Topper Station.
Starting her third year as The Trumpet’s editor-in-chief, Murphy hopes to use the experiences from her education and role in the student newspaper and broadcast station to advance her career in news writing and reporting. Upon graduation, Murphy hopes to work for a local news station as a multimedia journalist. Murphy’s hobbies include reading, writing, watching television, and spending time with family and friends. Murphy is excited to start another semester on the Hilltop with her friends and the whole Trumpet crew!
